SP Richard Wong is the Pastor-in-charge of Singapore Christian Canaan Church. After graduating from St Louis Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Masters of Arts in New Testament in Lincoln Christian University, SP Richard was invited to work with Canaan Church since October 1993.

As the senior pastor of Canaan Church, an independent congregation, SP Richard is a strong advocate for cell group ministry, discipleship and missions.  His primary purpose is to lead the church to glorify God by leading people to Christ and to maturity in Christ.  His vision is to build an intentional disciplemaking cell church that will transform lives and impact close ones, community and countries for the glory of God.

Outside Canaan Church’s leadership and pastoral responsibilities, SP Richard is also a trainer and coach of an interdenominational ministry committed to returning the churches to their disciplemaking roots, called Intentional Disciplemaking Network, of which he is also the Secretary of the Ex-Co Board.  He avails himself to train and coach pastors and churches both locally and abroad.
